My character description.

This term my group in reading has been reading a story called the McGoodys. We had to make a character description of what they're good at. Please comment.

My sister Moira's birthday party.

On Saturday the 22nd of September, I went to Chipmunks for my sister Moira’s 5th birthday party. Her friends came and there names are Tia, Marina and Krystallena. My Mum, Dad, Uncles, Aunties and Cousins came to the party too. I was really excited to see all  my family and Moira’s friends.  

Firstly I had to get changed into my new clothes. Mum bought a black dress and it has sparkles on it. Moira had to dress up as Elsa. Moiras dress was light blue and shiny. Moira looked really pretty in her Elsa dress.

For Moira’s birthday we are going to chipmunks and we have to be there by 9:45. We went in the car to get to the chipmunks. When we got there we just quickly took our shoes off and played on the biggest slide. I was playing with my cousin and we played on the yellow double slide.  

After playing on the slide one of the people that works at the chipmunks called us because they said the party room was ready for Moira’s birthday party. Then my aunty said to me and my cousin to keep playing so we did. After Moira blew her cake she gets to hug the chipmunk but me and my cousin didn’t because we were still playing.`

After chipmunks we went home and got the food ready for my family to come over and have lunch for Moira’s party. The food we had is chops, chicken, sausage, and potato salad.  

I got the decoration out of my mums room and put them outside. My mum was blowing the balloons and I stuck them on the fence with tape. I stuck the balloons up on our mailbox so Moira’s friends know where our house is.

My dad brought me a card from the warehouse and he told me and Braxton to write a card for Moira so we did. When I was making a birthday card for Moira I put stickers on and wrote something nice to her about her birthday.

I felt really happy because I got to go to Moira’s birthday and meet all of her friends that are coming. I enjoyed Moira’s birthday because we got to play in the shooting room and eat some cake.

Our Film Festival - The News Article group.

In term 3, Mr Scott and Miss Mclachlan my teachers have thought about making a film festival for our class and we had to go in groups. My group is Mikayla, Faith, Shanarnia and myself and we all had fun together. We are doing the News Hub but we had to change it so we called it the News Article.

We were struggling making the movie but then we got some help from the teachers and they gave us some ideas. When the teacher gave us some ideas I had an idea and I told my group and they used my idea. I was very proud of myself.

My Film Festival.

This term we have been working on our Film Festival. My group is doing the News Hub but we called it the News Article. And what we are doing for the News Article is we are going to talk about what happened at HPS. We also have made a invitation so you guys can come and watch our movies on September 22nd 2016 at 12pm and I hope I will see you guys there.

W.A.L.T: Write a narrative.

Me,the only space chimp in space.

In 1961 the rocket ship was going to blast off from 3, 2, 1. My name is Connor and I’ve been told to be sent in space for 65 years. Now everything was silent and I’m old and wrinkly and so tired. My partner Jr gave me a picture of him and myself so I can remember the adventure we did together. Then I was still nervous because I might not survive in my rocket because my rocket is not strong and it's old and dusty. Then I heard a beeping sound and it was my rocket and I didn’t know what to do so I just left it alone.

I was still travelling in space and it was beautiful and it looked really pretty from above earth and the stars looked like sparkles and it shines really bright in my face. Then I saw earth and it was spinning really slow like the planet. While back in 1961 all of the chimps said that I was so precious like a diamond to them.

While I was in space there was still no air, but I could still breath because I’m still in my rocket.

There was a sunshine that lit up in my face and I am very cold but now I’m hot. I have survived in space lucky me. Then there was a yellow shiny juicy light shone in my face and I was shaking and terrified because I might not survive when I land then KaBang!! Terra firma.

Suddenly I landed on solid ground and that was earth and I got out of my pod and I saw nobody there and the place looks terrible and horrifying and so destroyed because there were some people that had some big weapons and started smashing and crushing the whole town and all of the other good people started moving overseas. Then I got sad because I think my partner Jr was here but the bad people came so they went to live overseas.

Then I heard someone talking to me like

“Hello anyone there?”

I said “Yes someone is here and it is me".

Then he said “What's your name?” Then I said

“ My name is Connor and I am a chimp” Then he got surprise.

Then he started talking again and he said

“Is that you Connor because I know you're a chimp and I had a chimp as my friend before”

Then I said

“ What's your name?” Then he said “Jr” then I said “It is you because I had a friend named Jr. And know we found each other.

My Fia Fia night.

My Fia Fia night.

I went to the Fia Fia night yesterday at the Hornby High School auditorium we had to be there by 5:30 and we started at 6:00.

We had to get dress up into our lava lavas and we had to wear a white t shirt and put some on those little white feathers in our hair to make us pretty.

Then we had to go and sit down on the floor in the auditorium and waited for our turn to do our seva which in Samoan seva means dance.

I enjoyed watching Gilberthorpes School perform. They had candles and I liked it when the two boys lifted up the girl in their dance.

I wasn’t nervous because I had performed at Fia Fia night last year. I remembered all my moves and had a really good time.

The food afterwards was really yummy. I enjoyed the Chop Suey best. I didn’t get home until 8:30pm so I was later to bed.
