Persuasive Writing

This term on Friday's period 3, my class 7/8Sh and Ts has been doing Persuasive Writing. We first planned out some ideas together about what we were going to write about and I thought of an idea to write about why is Netball better than Basketball.  This is my story and I hope you think Netball is better than Basketball.

My Story:

Why is Netball better than Basketball?

There are so many people that are interested in Netball and Basketball and we all don’t know which one is the best. They both have such great qualities and are so popular but in my opinion I think Netball is better than Basketball. There are so many great qualities about netball that makes it better, here are some examples, you won’t get injured as much on the court and it is less aggressive in body language such as pushing and shoving.  

Here are some reasons why I think Netball is better than Basketball. 

First of all, there is no need to dribble the ball while trying to score a point on the other side, it is much quicker and easier. There are seven players on the court so there is more help to have a successful game. 

My other reason why I think netball is better because it is a very fast paced and fun sport that is actually much safer than Basketball. Once you gain possession of the ball, there is no one around you to snatch or grab the ball of you so you have more time with the ball. 

That is why I think netball is better than basketball!
