Empathy means to be able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and motivating them to feel good about themselves. Having the ability to understand/share feelings of others.

1. What sport were you presenting? 
I was presenting Netball

2. What modifications did your group make, and why?  

These are the modifications we made:

• Before you shoot, you must to swing the ball underneath your legs two times
• You can take one step instead of passing the ball straight away
• 
  

3. What went well? 
We got through the game fast
We explained the instructions and rules well.
We all enjoyed it

The listening skills

5. What were the differences between your first and second sessions? 
The first group wasn't listening and then the second group listened really well.

6. Reflection : am I a leader? why/why not? 
I don't think i'm a leader because I am not good at explaining the rules and instructions and I give up straight away when I muck up.

Tuesday Playback P.E

What did you do on Tuesday? 
On Tuesday my class and 7&8 Ds played Multi Sport, which is 4 sports. The sports were Netball, Soccer, Basketball and Touch. We played those games for one period and then we got into our groups and started thinking of how we are going to modify our Sport netball.   

Within your sport group what worked well? 
We shared our two ways of modifying our sport to each other.

These are the ways we are going to modify netball:
You can only take one step and put one leg up
You have to touch the ball instead of touching the person to get the ball.and
When someone touches the ball,  it's the the other teams ball.
After four passes you can take two steps.

What do you need to change for next time? 
The communication and participation because everyone wasn't listening and didn't want to get involve.

What are you looking forward to when you present?
I am looking forward to sharing our ideas to everyone.    

5 types of music - Music

W.A.L.T: I can identify how music and sound sets a mood in a movie.

5 types of music in movies

In the movie Annabelle, the music is very slow, steady and creepy like someone is going to pop out somewhere and give you a scare. 



In the movie Ralph breaks the internet, its started off slow then it rising loud into a hype and enjoyable music.



In the movie Jaws, the music started off slow, then its gets faster when things are tense or something scary might be coming.



In the movie Wonder, it started off happy and joyful and then later in the movie, it gets emotional and miserable.


In the movie Star trek, the music is upbeat and triumphant.

5 camera angles - Music

W.A.L.T: I can explain a variety of camera angles used to make a movie.

Through the past couple of weeks, we have been trying to film and movie. I am in a group with, Keyana, Chloe, Jaz, Brianna and Rory. We had to pick a fairy tale that we wanted to film and we chose the 3 little pigs.

Here are the definitions of different angles:

Over the shoulder shot is an angle that is taking over the shoulder so you can see the person that is in front of you and yourself.


Long shot is a angle that is taken far away and that you can see your whole body.


Extreme close up shot is an angle that is right close to you face.


Zoom out shot is an angle that you adjust the lens of the camera so that the image or video seems to be smaller and farther away.


Side angle is taken from the side of your body or an object.

Community impact project questions

In your own words, What is the project? To pick up rubbish and keep the community neat and tidy and also to create them into art.

What is the purpose? That people keep on littering and making the world unhealthy and making our school environment tidy.

How much rubbish do you think we are going to collect? Why do you think that? I think we are going to collect full bags of rubbish because there are a lot of rubbish lying around the community that is needing to be picked up.

What colours do you think we will see the most and why? I think we will find clear plastic and colored chip packets. 

What type of art would you like to create? I would want to create a sculpture of animals.

Music making module

W.A.L.T: I can write a narrative using correct structure.

Through the past weeks of the Term my class and 7/8Ds has been doing Music. I am in a group with, Chloe, Keyana, Brianna, Jaz and Rory and we are filming the three little pigs. We had to write a script and make some changes into it so it would be more interesting and different than the original one.

We have our own characters:
Jaz is the Narrator
Rory is the Wolf 
I am the First pig - Liam
Chloe is the second pig - Noah
Keyana is the third pig - Kyle
Brianna is the filming person

Before we started filming, we had to sort out our script and our props. We struggled finishing our script but a few weeks later we got there.  After sorting out all of those things, we went and started filming on the field. We have gotten to the stage where we are getting the last shots on the movie and ready for Jaz to edit and get it ready for presenting...

We will keep you on a update and once Jaz has completed the video and its in present mode then we will share it for you to look and see what we have been upto, Bye for now :)

Explain why this group is your passion.
I chose Hornby Community because I want to help people in this area.

Explain one idea your interested in.
I would like to get a BBQ, Sausages and some tongs to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house and also bake some cupcakes to take their too.

How do you think you will achieve this idea?
By organizing a group who want to help. I would ask Mrs Hastie will help us organise to do this.
