Tane Mahuta - CIP

This week in CIP Tane Mahuta, we got back into our groups and started planting and cleaning up the classroom. I started planting beetroot with Addyson and Keyana and the others were planting Lettuce, Cauliflower and Cabbage. Once we finished planting, we layed a thin sheet over the plants and jammed thick sticks as pegs so the sheet won't fly away. We left the ends open so that the plants can get air and not die.

After all of the planting, we had nothing else to do so we got straight into helping to clean the classroom. I helped a group clear out all of the wood and logs that were broken apart from the old furniture and then started filling up some buckets of rubbish that were lying around everywhere. The period was a success for me and I really enjoyed doing Tane Mahuta and I'm glad that I chose Tane Mahuta but we will be back into it next Wednesday.
