Kindness/Spiritual - Health

Spiritual well being is about the values and beliefs that determine the way you live, having purpose in your life, Personal identity/being yourself and knowing who you are, Self awareness/Protecting, looking after yourself and believing your goals, your passions, your dream, feeling comfortable about your culture and religion and just staying the way you are and never change the way you are.

For my RAK I had to talk about random acts of kindness. I watched a video called 10 incredible acts of kindness and then wrote a paragraph about what I would like to, explaining what kindness means and what it does.
This is my, what I would like to:
I would like to, show people what acts of kindness would impact on their life and to people around them so it would teach them to show kindness to other people and experience the kind of kindness you have received from others. Kindness is all about being nice and polite to someone and making their day. It is a really popular act to people who are always positive and worthy, and who wants to spread and share around the community.

Why is it important to show kindness:
Showing kindness is important because you want people to feel happy and spread kindness to other people, to the community. Kindness is a good way to make people feel good and upbeat their day and more cheerful. It encourages people to be kind to other people they have might hurt in the past. You would receive kindness back if you be kind to them.

Solubility Dissolving Experiment

Aim:
To see if salt or baking soda dissolves more

Hypothesis:
I think that the baking soda will dissolve more because powder is thinner and can disappear quickly when it is dissolving in a liquid, in my opinion.

Equipment: A 250 mL beaker, 100 mL measuring cylinder, salt, baking soda, a stirring rod, a teaspoon and a ruler.

Method:
1. Fill the beaker with 100 mL of tap water.
2. Add a level teaspoon of baking soda. A level teaspoon is obtained by running your ruler across the edges of the teaspoon).
3. Stir the solution until all of the baking soda has dissolved.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more baking soda and then it will dissolve into the solution.
5. Record how many teaspoons of baking soda were added.
6. Repeat the experiment, with the table salt.

Results:

SoluteNumber of teaspoons that dissolved in 100 mL of water
Baking soda
2 teaspoons
Table salt5 teaspoons

Discussion:
This experiment involved dissolving a solute. The first substance we dissolved was table salt, the results we got came upto 5 teaspoons and i'm pretty happy of how many teaspoons we did. Our results means that the mixture of salt and water can dissolve really well together.

For our second experiment, this time we did a mixture of baking soda and water, the results we got came upto 2 teaspoons. Our result means that the mixture of baking soda and water can not combine very well together.

Conclusion:
My hypothesis that I thought would combine together well was baking soda, but I found out at the end of my results was wrong. The table salt dissolved more in the water than the baking soda and had more teaspoons displayed. I thought that the baking soda would dissolve more because its particle size was much more smaller than the table salt.

Sustainability presentation - Textiles

This is my sustainability presentations that I have made for textiles technology. It is for us to understand what sustainability means so we know what we're doing when we get into creating things. The slides are explaining some issues that are happening, the definition of what sustainability means and what we can do to be more sustainable. I hope you enjoy it and learned something about being a sustainable person and what is really happening around the world.

PE Athletics

Today in PE we are learning how to throw a discus and do high jump.

First we practice doing discus, we went out onto the field and got into partners, we had to practice rolling the discus gently straight in a line to our partner who was facing opposite us. Later after that, we learned how to hold a discus and how to throw one too. I found out when your holding a discus, you have lay your finger at 12 clock before you throw it.

After discus, we went back into the gym and did high jump. In high jump we learned how to jump backwards onto our back but laying with our arms and legs in the air, on a thick mat. Then after a few practices of doing that, we did a little starting walk practicing doing it with one leg up then landing on our back again. We were learning how to just jump with one leg up instead of jumping with both.
I enjoyed practicing today in PE because I got to learn new skills on how to get better in the athletics sports.
