In Te reo Maori, we have been focusing on how to make a Hangi, learning what Tapu and Noa means and talking about Matariki. We first watched two videos about how to make a Hangi and what the steps are and what the materials we needed to make a Hangi. We also had to create a google drawing showing how to make a Hangi. We talked about, if we step over the Hangi while it is cooking it will get spoiled and ineatable because Tapu and Noa doesn't go together. The meaning of Tapu is Sacred and Noa means Normal. I learned that it takes 3 hours for a Hangi to cook. (Depends how much food you have)
